S2000-FL Fluorescence Spectrometer

The S2000-FL Miniature Fiber Optic Spectrometer is a low-cost, high-sensitivity spectrometer for fluorescence. The S2000-FL is pre-set to a 360-1000 nm wavelength range, and comes with a 200 mm entrance slit (for optical resolution to ~10.0 nm FWHM) and L2 Detector Collection Lens (for increased light throughput).

The S2000-FL is no longer available. It has been replaced with several other spectrometers:

The S2000-FL interfaces to a desktop PC via Ocean Optics' ADC1000 ISA-bus A/D converter. Another interface option is the ADC1000-USB, an external A/D converter with 1 MHz sampling frequency that connects to the spectrometer via a DB25-pin connector and to desktop or notebook PCs via the USB port. A PCI-bus converter is also available.

The S2000-FL Spectrometer features a compact optical bench coupled to a high-sensitivity 2048-element linear CCD-array detector. The spectrometer accepts light energy transmitted through single-strand optical fiber and disperses it via a fixed grating (set for 360-1000 nm) across the CCD array. An SMA 905 connector allows for easy coupling to Ocean Optics' comprehensive line of fiber optic light sources and accessories.

Specifications

Ocean Optics miniature fiber optic spectrometers offer high performance at low cost, in a convenient, modular package. Optical performance will vary according to a number of factors, including the groove density of the grating and the size of the entrance optics -- as well as the application itself (for example, low vs. high light level applications).

Detector Specifications
