ISP-I Integrating Spheres

ISP-I Integrating Spheres are convenient sampling optics that couple to our spectrometers and optical fibers to measure the spectral output of LEDs, lasers and other light sources from 200-1100 nm.

Features

  • Spectroradiometric Analysis. Couple spheres to spectrometers to analyze LED, laser and light source output

  • Flexible. Spheres are available in diameters of 30 mm, 50 mm and 80 mm

  • LED-ready. Spheres accommodate a variety of LEDs

  • Direct-attach option. Spheres can couple directly to a spectrometer

Each fiber optic integrating sphere consists of a proprietary PTFE-based, sintered diffusing material -- in diameters of 30 mm, 50 mm or 80 mm -- that provides a Lambertian surface (with >98% reflectivity in the visible) for irradiance measurements. Sample port sizes of 6 mm (for the 30-mm sphere) and 8 mm (for the 50-mm and 80-mm spheres) are available.

LED Measurement Option

The ISP-I-50-8 50-mm Integrating Sphere can be used with an adapter (ISP-LED-ADP) that will accommodate 3 mm, 5 mm or 8 mm LEDs, holding the LED in place to ensure reproducibility. (The adapter screws into the sphere’s sample port; a setscrew secures the LED.) Learn more about measuring LEDs with our LED Measurement System.

Direct-attach Option

The ISP-50-I-USB and USB-ISP-80 are irradiance/emission integrating spheres that can be directly attached to a USB4000 (and USB2000 Spectrometer (spectrometers sold separately) to measure the spectral output of LEDs, lasers and other light sources. Each direct-attach integrating sphere consists of a proprietary PTFE-based, sintered diffusing material -- in diameters of 50 mm or 80 mm -- that provides a Lambertian surface (with >98% reflectivity in the visible) for irradiance measurements. Each sphere features an 8-mm sample port.

Calibrated Source

Also available is a NIST-traceable calibrated tungsten halogen light source, the HL-2000-CAL-ISP, that’s designed for use with the ISP-50-8-I Integrating Sphere. The source is calibrated for the VIS-NIR (360-1000 nm), and sits directly atop the integrating sphere.
