Single-Pass Transmission Probes
The
Process-ready Single-Pass
Transmission Probe from Custom Sensors & Technology is useful for online measurements of sample
streams in demanding environments. Probes are available in various pathlengths
and materials, have linearity superior to that of transflection
probes, and can be used as part of a process system or combined with Ocean Optics spectrometers
and accessories to create real-time monitoring systems for a variety
of transmission applications.
The Single-pass Transmission Probe (SSP) sends light
energy from a source through the sample by folding the beam 180°
back via a protected reflector. SPPs are used when sample
concentrations are higher than typical. Pathlengths from 1-10 mm are
available. Probe length can be increased if automatic retractable
devices are required. This is a custom option that requires consultation
with an
Applications Scientist.
